Pep Guardiola wants to finish career at Barcelona

Having spent most of his playing career with the spanish club, Guardiola started out as a coach of Barcelona's B side in 2007.

After working with the youth sides, Guardiola was named first-team head coach in 2008 and went on to achieve significant success with the club.

"I will finish again where I started," he said in an interview on Movistar.

"My last steps will be with the youth teams; I hope it is with Barca. I think it's the best place to start."

"My teams will play the way I want them to," he added. "That's why I'm a manager, that's why I also deserve to be happy."

Guardiola won three La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues and two Club World Cups with Barca.

He has also enjoyed success with Bayern and Manchester City, who won the Premier League last season with a record points haul.


Spurs star expects contract extension

The Belgium international was bought from Ajax in 2012.

Since then he has been a major part of Tottenhams big rise to the Premier League-top.

Verthongens contract expires at the end of the campaign, but the center back remains calm over the whole situation.

"My contract is expiring at the end of the season, but Tottenham have an option to extend it with one year," Vertonghen said.

"I think they will take up the option. We'll see what happens."

Verthongen earned a bronze medal after Belgium beat England in the FIFA World cup bronze final in Russia this summer.

“Serie A is still a beautiful and exciting league though, one that is followed all over the world. Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival has been even more beneficial, and I hope I can go back one day.

The 33 year old has won 65 international caps and scored three goals during his time as a Northern Ireland player.

He missed out on Northern Ireland's thrilling Euro 2016 finals campaign owing to a serious knee injury. Still he travelled with his teammates to France during the euros to support the team.

Manager Martin O'Neill describes Brunt as quality player.

– I am disappointed Chris is retiring as I believe he still has much to offer the team, however I completely understand his decision to spend a bit more time with his young family and to concentrate on his club career, said O'Neill to BBC.

Blind returns to Ajax

Daley Blind returns to his former club Ajax.

Both Manchester United and the dutch club confirms that the 28 year old has signed a four year deal with Ajax.

The defender signed for Manchester United back in 2014 and has played over 140 matches for The Red Devils.

The transfer fee is being reported to be around 15 million pounds.

Leicester have secured the deal for Norwich-player James Maddison.

The 21-year old therefore switches Championship for Premier League next season. The midfielder have impressed for Norwich since his move from Scotland.

Maddison becomes the clubs third signing this summer. Johnny Evans and Ricardo Pereira has already signed for the Foxes.


Balotelli: "Nice blew the title"

The italien superstar believes Nice should of won the title in 2016/2017 instead of Monaco.

Last year I wasn’t happy,” Balotelli said.

Harry Kane is Englands captain at the World Cup in Russia

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the player who gets the honour of being captain of England at the World Cup in Russia this summer.

During a meeting with the squad at St. George's Park on Monday night, England boss Gareth Southgate named Kane as his skipper for the tournament.

"It is an amazing honour. You always dream of playing for England growing up and to be the captain is that little bit more," Kane said to Sky Sports.

"I'm so excited for the World Cup. I can't wait to be there and experience it. To be leading the lads out is going to be special.

 "But for me, nothing changes. I'm still the person, the same player. It is just about the team. We will do what we can and go as far as we can."

Ederson extends Manchester City contract to seven years

The Manchester City goalkeeper has committed himself to the club for the next seven years. The Premier League champions confirmed the news monday morning.

The Brazilian goalkeeper, who joined City on a six-year deal last summer, has signed for another two years at the Etihad Stadium. His contract now expires in the summer of 2025.

Ederson has made a big impression since his £35million arrival from Benfica, featuring in all but the last two games of their triumphant Premier League campaign.

Salah is ready for Real Madrid move, claims Mido

The Egyptian has enjoyed an incredible season at Liverpool, scoring his 40th goal in all competitions this season against Bournemouth in the weekend.

Those performances have seen the Salah linked with one of Europe's biggest clubs, including LaLiga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

His fellow countryman Mido believes Salah has shown he would be more than capable of delivering for the «Los Blancos»-side.

"Real Madrid want him, and we have all seen the poor performances of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema with the 4-4-2," he said, via KingFut.

"I was afraid that Salah might fail at Liverpool, but I think he is ready to jump to the next level."

Italy falls to all-time low FIFA ranking

After the disastrous loss against Sweden in the World cup qualification, Italy have fallen to 20th. That is an all time low.

The Azzurri got another defeat to Argentina by 2-0 and later a 1-1 draw versus England in March. They have slipped from 14th.

Italy's previous worst was when they occupied 17th on two separate occasions in 2015 and 2017.

Italy is World Cup winners on four occasions.

Reigning champions Germany continue to lead the rankings ahead of Brazil, while Belgium is in front of Portugal and Argentina in third place.

Conte can´t wait to leave Chelsea, claims Vialli

The italians future at Stamford Bridge is a huge doubt after the hurting 3-1 loss at home to London-rivals Tottenham. A defeat which left a major blow to Chelsea's Champions League hopes.

Conte, who guided Chelsea to the Premier League title last season, has been critical of the team's transfer policy this season as the Blues struggle to reach the success of last term.

"Conte can't wait to leave Chelsea," ex-Chelsea boss and former Juventus striker Vialli told Sky Sport Italia.

"He can't stand that they sell or buy players without consulting him.

"The truth is, Chelsea would like a manager who is more of a club man."


– Kane is probably the best striker in the world

Kane was ruled out for a month after an ankle injury against Bournemouth on March 11.

"When he went down I am sure every England fan, every member of the England staff, every player wanted him to get back up," Maguire told reporters ahead of Friday's trip to Amsterdam.

"Harry Kane is probably the best striker in the world. He is scoring frequently, getting the Golden Boot in the Premier League last couple of seasons and is up there again.

Roy Keane blasts Pogba

Uniteds record signing has found his form under severe scrutiny in recent weeks and has been in and out of Jose Mourinho's starting XI.

Messi reveals the name of his third son

The Barcelona star and his wife Antonella Roccuzzo are expecting their third child to be born at the end of this month or in early March.

Messi confirmed the boys name on his Instagram account. On his My Story-board he posted a video that appeared to show the infant kicking inside Roccuzzos womb.

Roccuzzo and Messi married last year and already have two sons, Thiago and Mateo.


Manchester City land club-record Laporte from Athletic

The Premier League leaders confirmed the signing tuesday. It is a club-record signing for £57 million.

The 23-year-old has signed a contract until 2023.

Laporte, who made 222 appearances for Athletic, will wear the number 14 shirt at City.

Bayern confirm Goretzka deal

The 22 year old has passed a medical and agreed a deal to sign for Bayern Munich at the end of the season, Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel has confirmed.

Wenger confirms Coquelin move to Valencia

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger announced the transfer after the game against Chelsea.

The press reported rumours of a reported £12million move for Coquelin, and Wenger confirmed the 26-year-old is on his way out of Arsenal.
